One-Time Passcodes (OTP) are a form of two-factor authentication which dramatically increases the security of your account. Two-factor authentication uses something you know (your password) and something you have (your mobile phone) to confirm you are who you say you are.
The OTP is a 6-digit number which changes each time it is sent to your phone. When attempting to access the most sensitive areas of the Inn-Flow platform (such as Check Writer and Digital Payments), an OTP is sent to your phone as a text message and the passcode must be subsequently entered into Inn-Flow to grant access to the sensitive area.
Accounting 2.0 includes an additional security upgrade for Printing Checks. Users who are printing checks will now go through an OTP (One-Time Passcode) authentication. If you are experiencing trouble with this feature, please reach out to Inn-Flow Support.
A user must have an accurate mobile phone number or e-mail address entered in their profile in order to receive the OTP during the Check Writer process. You can add or edit a phone number by going to Administration / Users / (select a users profile).
